Distractors inception began as far back as late 2006. Their debut single 'Last Stand' followed in early 2007 garnering them many admirers in their hometown and numerous playlists on Irelands airwaves. The following year saw an invitation to SXSW, a support slot with The Rumble Strips and second single 'Conversation Killer' which was re-released this year alongside three other songs as 'Manly with a Stanley EP'.
In the last year alone they have supported Cold War Kids, Tokyo Police Club, toured with The Charlatans and Inner City Pirates as well as recording radio sessions for RTE and BBC Radio, and being playlisted on XFM.
As recent as July 2009, Distractors made their first appearence at Irelands OXEGEN Festival, where they played the IMRO stage.
They are currently in pre-production for their debut album which is set for release Autumn 2009.
Post-punk power trio Autoban bring their
fusion of guitar-hookery, punchy rhythms and stiletto-sharp lyrics to
the Academy II on December 5 for their inaugural 'Mad Hatter's Ball'.
