thomas harris (ever hear of Hannibal?), Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, wilbur smith's egyptian books... mein gott, there are so many good friggin books out there!!! it breaks my heart that so many people don't like to read. they are missing such a beautiful escape to lands beyond our own, and there are so many different kinds of books!
