The Band diVan was founded in 1998.
They combining Anglo-American pop culture with elements of Turkish folk and art. The Turkish lyrics are telling stories that might as well be from 1001 Nights, in a poetic, fullbodied, metaphoric way. Always relatin to nowadays concerns.
The stage performances' visual aspect is one of the key elements in their show. You will see the Sultan and his retinue in all their glory, dressed in traditional oriental gowns.
