I DIVERTING DUO sono una ragazza ed un ragazzo con base in Sardegna . Suonano minimal-pop condito con un pizzico di educatissimo folk. Sfruttando un vario tipo di strumentazione hanno creato la loro personale definizione di indie-pop elettrico, gentile, nudo, onirico ed incantatore. Il duo nasce nel 2007 e si sviluppa inizialmente in maniera molto semplice, una voce e due chitarre, per arricchirsi poi di organi, violoncelli e altri supporti come tastiere giocattolo, glockenspiel . Il risultato è un delicatissimo equilibrio tra l’armonia della voce di Sara e le avvolgenti chitarre di Gianmarco. Nel 2008 registrano il loro primo demo autoprodotto “Low Bunnies” che riscuote un discreto successo incuriosendo anche alcune fanzines italiane ed inglesi. Durante la promozione di Low bunnies suonano in Sardegna, Italia ed Inghilterra. Il loro primo album “lover/lover” è uscito il 25 settembre per Zahr records.
DIVERTING DUO are a girl and a boy based in Sardinia (Italy). They play minimal-pop dressed with a little bit of polite folk rock. They have created their very personal definition of electric indie pop which is gentle, naked, charmer and oneiric, using a wide range of instruments. The Duo started in 2007 in a very simple way, one voice and two guitars. It is soon enriched with organs, cello, glockenspiel and some toy keyboards. The effect is an ethereal balance between Sara’s daydreaming voice and Gianmarco’s warm guitar lines. In 2008 Diverting Duo recorded a demo called “Low Bunnies”; it received good reviews and it made some Italian and English fanzines intrigued about this band. During the Low bunnies promotion they performed in Sardinia, Italy and England. Their first album LOVER/LOVER has been released on Zahr records.
