Every thought of love, hate, birth and death that has ever crossed these four silly minds.
Divided by Nine was formed in late summer 2008 by Sebastian and Oskar A from Silent Dreams.
Due to conflicts in the less successful band they felt like starting a new band and since they had similar oppinions about playing, the idea felt good.
They asked the singer, Oskar B, and Bass player Rasmus D from their former ''rival band'' if they were interested in joining them.
The band was completed with the band set; Sebbe on Rythm guitar and Lead vox, Oskar A as Lead guitarist, Oskar B as Drummer and Rasmus on the bass.
Since the two former bands, Silent Dreams and Wintergate had two completely different styles ( Pop and Metal ) the result of the new band DB9 was assumed to be something in between, but still so different.
On November 14th, just 4 months after the foundation of the band, Divided By Nine released their first demo, "Of course my kid shall have a caravan".
The demo contained the three tracks "Betrayal Of Mankind", "From The Bright Side" and "Whales like seaweed"

On 1 March, Divided By Nine qualified to the districts final in swedens largest competition for young musicians, Musik Direkt. What happened in the districts final is something they do not like to talk about.
In may, the band heard theirselves on the radio for the first time when SR P4 blekinge played "Betrayal Of Mankind" which reached a second place on the Top-list.
Then came the summer of 2009. Sebbe got himself to swedens second biggest island, Öland, to work his ass off for a few weeks. Oskar went to Italy with his family, Degen found love and eggo just enjoyed a typical swedish summer with lots of rain and bad sleeping habits. The band didn't play together for more than two months but made a gig in Gothenburg and one in their hometown, Karlskrona. when they got back to normal in the end of august it was all a hard kick from behind. They got back on track and are now planning a coming self-produced EP which release date hasn't been set yet. The band has come a long way both with themselves as musicians, but also as a band in all and as friends.

Det blev en hektisk festivalsommar i år igen. Joyzines redaktion besökte sammanlagt 11 svenska festivaler, recenserade 148 konserter och gjorde en mängd intervjuer. Nu är det dags att samla allt det goda på ett och samma ställe:
