#2 I also somewhat reverted to my mother's habits of dressing me. Though she didn't have people bringing her foreign clothing for me, she always bought me new outfits for EVERYTHING (parties, graduations, weddings, holidays, birthdays... new outfit everytime). I recall going shopping for these outfits and being allowed to choose which I liked better and that sort of thing (when I was old enough to know what shopping was; she was doing this since I was born). So now when she yells at me for spending money on clothes (and shoes and accessories) all the time, I remind her why I am the way I am.
