Divine Sight is a hip-hop group from Oahu that centers around rappers Complex and Basik. Freinds since highschool, they became entranced with hip-hop, graffiti, and breakdancing, and formed the Divine Sight Collective, forming an underground hip-hop clique dedicated to freestyling, clever and complex lyrics, and anti-gangsta positivity. In 1998, E03 released its debut album, We Rise From The East, which quickly became regarded as an underground hip-hop classic thanks to deeply personal, poetic musings, as well as Nicolai's bare bones -- but inventive -- production. (Now out-of-print, it's a highly sought-after collector's item). A year later, the group released a collection of three EPs built around political mistrust and overall angst against the evil of the world. The group has toured consistently, both at home and overseas; while Basik usually doesn't accompany the group on the road, Crackhead Ted often joins in behind the turntables and Complex is usually assisted on the mic by young rappers like Pres 10. In June 2002, the group -- down to the duo of Complex and Basik-- unleashed the Mic Parasites, an 18-track effort that returned to previous themes ("Groundbreakin"), but also contained the group's most pop-friendly single to date, "Voice of the Streets." In 2006, Divine Sight will return with its 3rd album, to be unveiled in the fall.

Together they have devoted their energies to Community Spirit, revealing their love of nature, their bewilderment towards politics on both sides of the Atlantic, their complicated relationship with money, and most importantly the little known fact that Wize and Opp were once Kings of New York for a day.
Community Spirit got made over 4 years with hundreds of back-and-forth communications over the interweb. 2 shows in England together, one day conquering New York, a few games of Pro Evo, croquet, and ping pong ...Finally it hits the streets.
