Bio
Diving At Dawn is a one-man band comprising of Pete Hobbs, better known as the music-providing half of indie-pop duo The Boy Least Likely To. Stepping back from the signature indie-pop sound of The Boy Least Likely To, A Lot Like Love is a gentle acoustic clatter of chiming pianos and finger picked nylon guitars, set to a tape delayed backbeat of floor toms and side sticks - cinematic and reflective, heartfelt and lonely. Think Sufjan Stevens without his orchestra, Bon Iver camping in the Chiltern Hills or Iron and Wine from the home counties. Quietly composed in the wee small hours to avoid disturbing neighbours, pets and the authorities, the song is a hushed paean to the constant passing of time and frailty of love. It was recorded in the legendary Faraway Sound studios, with The Voluntary Butler Scheme's Rob Jones helping out at the controls. .... ........ -
