Dixie Lizard sound like a band that's got their own sound. Sure influences play a part in the creation of the sound...that's a given for everyone...but with hard work and dedication the band has created a sound that is easily recognized as being their own!
Dixie Lizard began in Houston, Texas back in 2005. Starting out as the three piece band Old School in Houston, Dixie Lizard is Old School minus a bass player(Les now plays the bass on the recordings). Dixie Lizard is now Scott Durkin on drums and Les Lewellyn on electric Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Keyboards,lead and backing Vocals. Dixie Lizard have begun getting airplay on Fm stations and Internet webcasts! They are currently working on a brand new cd.
