What originally began as an online hobby zine and blog by one music lover has become the beginning of a music magazine - DIY Revolution.
This magazine set for publication in December 2005 will be a comprehensive guide to do-it-yourself, indie and underground music from Austin, TX and around the world. News, interviews, and reviews will be topped with interesting music-related social commentary and insightful articles. Most importantly, we will feature music that often gets overlooked by mainstream press.
DIY Revolution Music Preview Playing Now:
La Snacks
Les Baton Rouge
The Total Foxes
Zom Zoms
The bands featured on this radio show demo will be featured in the first online issue and future DIY Revolution Magazine podcasts. We can't allow downloading for copyright reasons, but you may listen and download at their respective MySpace sites.
DIY REVOLUTION MAGAZINE ONLINE NEXT MONTH.
September is the launch date for the online edition. There are 2 blogs you can read now worth mentioning: the musician friendly diy-music, and the new devil's advocate Kill The Critic. Both will become monthy review columns in online and printed versions of the magazine.
DIY REVOLUTION RADIO PREMIERS OCTOBER 2005. That's right. Internet radio/podcasting of some music you probably won't hear anywhere else. In the meantime listen here for new diy/underground/indie label music artists, updated weekly (because the novice programmer gets bored easily.)
