Dizzy Newton essentially began when guitarist Jim Verutis, bassist Greg Ceci and drummer/vibraphonist Dave O’Neill met in the early 90’s. The fit was instantly obvious and they honed their chops by recording and gigging three full-length albums featuring three different vocalists.
In 2004, Tray Tomlinson joined the group and solidified the line up giving Dizzy Newton a voice as distinct as the music. The self titled debut CD was released in May of 2005 and followed by a Southern Ontario summer tour.
However, Dizzy Newton remains independent by recording, engineering, producing and releasing its own material. The band’s sophomore CD, DN2 is now available.
