Born in 1981 was on an early stage that 2tan made a connection to music,buying his first guitar at the age of 9,an instrument that he wouldn't leave for the next 10 years,participating in two heavy-metal and black metal projects for 5 years with one of his best friends.
But was in Progressive House that he found what made him smile in music.
Begining to enjoy electronic music in 2000,mixing in 2001 and with a short career behind the decks he had the luck to play in a couple of parties with some of the finest portuguese dj's,has a hand full of projects including Pure Senses on Tribalmixes Radio with Dj Migas and The Queen Sessions ,a regular selected mix that can be easily found on the internet,exclusively made for Progressive Lovers but having in mind all Electronic Music Fans.

http://versus.com.pt, is a portuguese forum-based virtual musical community, now with over 5 years of existence, whose main subject is music in general and electronic music in particular. There we can find melomaniacs, DJ..s, producers or just plain passers-by with an ear up for the music world.
Like in every other community, members exchange ideas about other matters, like football, politics or even, "you know, stuff...", but the most musically inclined also share their own DJ sets and productions. And wouldn't you know it, there's some talent here! In fact, with the help of the latest technological developments, specially in production tools, we've quality to match the quantity!
It was only obvious then, that a project like this came up, with the goal of compiling tracks made exclusively by producers who are Versus members.
Making full advantage of the Creative Commons licensing regulations, adding the help of archive.org, and combining them with the creativity of the forum producers, the "Thoughts About Music" compilation was brought to life, gathering 12 tracks by 9 producers, some of them already making a name for themselves by having some of their work released by labels, others still looking for their place in the sun, but all of them displaying enormous talent and potential.
So what's in the package? Mostly dancefloor-oriented but diverse-sounding material, making up a perfect showcase for the creativity, imagination and big-time worthiness that many times is hidden in improvised bedroom studios throughout Portugal, and which is now our pride and pleasure to bring out into the whole wild world.
Enjoy, and who knows, this may be a piece of history in the making which is about to crash into your ears!!
