Coming Events
I'm off for a while...I'm going to try to get something to download and listen to on your media player, in your car, your computer...grat time to be alive, no?
I try to stay busy...
Music
I have been and considering my current age, will always be electromilitant: new wave, synthpop, electroclash, electro, electrogoth, dark electro, industrial, EBM, noise, experimental (and what was the hypothesis??) And One, Adam Ant, ABC, Alphaville, Anything Box, Angel Spit, Angel Theory, Angels & Agony (lots of angels), Assemblage 23, Book Of Love, Bronski Beat, Cabaret Voltaire, Camouflage, Clan of Xymox, Colony 5, Code 64, Combichrist, Covenant, the Cure, DAF, Depeche Mode, De/Vision, Erasure, Fischerspooner, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Gary Numan, Hocico, Dolce Liquido, Human League, IKON, Icon of Coil, Mechanical Cabaret, Mesh, NG-PRO, Perfume, Princess Superstar, Retractor, Run Level Zero, Yazoo, Z Prochek, and the list goes on soooo long, that I'm going to keep going at another time...
My Current Picks
Movies
Plumsonic is one of my favorite local artists and I can't push them enough. It's not the direction that the domestic ele-pop scene is going, but that's actually what makes them cool.
Raised in Los Angeles, I came to Japan in 1993 and somehow ended up staying here. I became a dj thinking I could get by with the music I had...AND of course that didn't happen.
Basically I'm old enough to have experienced the whole new wave thing in real time. At the same time, I'm not old enough to have relly enjoyed the club scene that was going on at the time.
I'm no longer where I started out. I guess I should be thankful for the evolution. I still spin 80's new wave, but I also play a lot of industrial and electro. I've found certain veins of both that can be used depending on the party. I like good music, especially coldly sensual electronic music. For the record, I listen to a lot more music than I play, I'm just not always comfortable mixing certain styles into a set...it'll come eventually.
Constants:
1) I won't accept requests from bands that I don't like.
2) I won't pay for airfare to come to Japan, and you can't crash at my place. No money, and no space.
3) There are more things I want to do in this life than there is time to do them.
4) I erase old messages. They're old. They use up memory. We could make MySpace 10 times faster eliminating two year old ThanX For the ADD/REQUEST messages. Consider it.
5) I DON'T DO iTunes!! Nor do I plan to...unless perhaps you give me money and satisfy my libido. No...I didn't thinks so.
Cheers.
Who I'd like to meet: People that are passionate about their art, their music, their personal expression. And pretty much anyone willing to lose money on my insane ideas for boosting the alternative electronic scene (lots and lots of ideas).

lol you're really stubborn about iTunes aren't you? You could always use Amazon. Same service but the content is DRM-free high quality MP3s. iTunes will go DRM-free soon enough anyway, but yeah, there are a bunch of different options if you think it's inherently evil. lol
The only reason why you don't find more weird shit on iTunes is that artists who don't have a legit label can't get on it, so you either have to compromise to get signed, or make your own label. Then there's a long approval process for quality control. Worth it in the end though.
