DJ Fiestagal was born in Birmingham, UK,and emigrated with her family in 1991 to the Southern Coast of Spain.
Growing up in Birmingham her first real love for music was the explosion of ska music from local bands like The Specials,The Beat,The Selector.
Prince Buster put on the heat for a Rocksteady beat !!!
Ska music led DJ Fiestagal into Reggae and listening to Sound Systems.
The 70s and 80s and Early 90s was a great time in the dancehall.
Positive Uplifting Messages in the Music.It was all about Love.
Moving to Spain in 1991,Having to sell all her Vinyls to be able to progress in life.The only source to reggae music was from Old tapes that travelled in a suitcase.When friends would visit they would bring over new tapes.There was no Reggae to be found on the radio or out on the streets.
Give Thanks to the arrival of the internet and being able to have access again to music,DJ Fiestagal started to collect back her old tunes.
She wanted to bring her reggae Vibe to her home town.
Djing wherever, and whenever she could get a gig.
In 2006,DJ Fiestagal joined with another DJ Kuley Selector, and with MC Ricky Roots to form Positive Sound System.A great positive vibration.
The sound system is going from strength to strenght and in the time they have been together,they have played many events alongside some great Positive people.Including Max Romeo,Sizzla Kalonji.
The secret is to keep spreading the Love....Its infectious.
Love makes the World go round.
Dj Fiestagal in 2008 embarked on 2 new projects.
