BOXING - I am a HUGE Boxing Fan and did My University Dissertation on it and met a few people in My time in Sheffield thanks to the wonderful Family that gave Me My first break. Big respect to the Raineys, Howard who trained so many Champions and has never really gained the public respect he deserves, for what he did with "Bomber" Graham, Clinton Woods, Mark Krench, and author Dave Mathews "Looking for a Fight". Though countless other bigger names have propelled with his unique training methods, a genius in his own right. I loved that Gym atmosphere, the fittest athletes in the world are fit boxers and it is a hell of a graft, not half as easy as people think it to be. I remember being told I was a "natural", funny how My nose has been broken a few times eh?
Post War Fave Fighters include Sugar Ray Robinson, Mohammad Ali, Roberto Duran, Joe Luis, Sugar Ray Leonard, Willie Pep, Marvin Haggler, Charley Burley, Rocky Marciano, Archie Moore, Mike Tyson, Oscar De La Hoya, George Foreman, KEN BUCHANAN, Ricky Hatton (Don't like his Promoter change), JIM WATT, Naseem Hammed, SCOTT HARRISON, Scott Landsdowne (I picked the music for him when he won his first inter-continental belt after we watched Gladiator and boy did that pump him haha - all the best man if you ever catch this, hope the past injuries are just that - past), and of course author-turned-Pro for 1 fight Dave Mathews, what a struggle that Man had, and what courage for the story he provided. Dam, could name people forever, to any of the Sheffield crew, mainly Howard, Lorna, Simon, Scott, miss ya and thankyou for what you did for Me in a difficult part of My life.

HEROES!!
I was totally addicted to Rockstar SuperNova, unfortunately for us in the UK they keep fucking us around with the schedule, changing it to diff channels, diff times, I by chance found it on Sky One or Two at 3am and caught Dilana singing Time after Time, I ended up finding the web site and watched all the webisodes and Performances and have to say this, along with The Contender, are the only decent reality shows on the TV. I've ended up blogging the last few weeks of this instead but here is a clip of My favorite performance so far by Ryan Star.
The GOR Series - John Norman
Any Fantasy Novel from the likes of Terry Brooks, Raymond E Feist, etc.
Heroes
DAVIE COOPER - RIP - If he had been born a Brazilian, he'd have been the greatest player of the time. First goal one of the best to be scored against Celtic, and watch the 3rd goal in particular in the 2nd video against Tampere, the 86/87 season, to see his quality.

Music is My life, something for every mood, something for every brood, every low, every high, from the mellow sounds of Pink Floyd, to the inticrate picking of Jimi Hendrix, to the heavy riffing of SLAYER, to the wailing sounds of Radiohead, to the lyrically amusing Missy Elliot, to the awe inspiring cresendo that is purely Classical, there is probably very little genre of music I dislike - well, except for most Country, and most Mainstream Music which has poisoned the once respectable Underground Scene of Dance which has now meandered out into countless forms of sub-genres being enjoyed by spotty nosed kids who think crack is all that and will buy anything that was on the latest advertisement or episode of Friends or whatever that prick on BBC children's TV likes to bebopalop his head to.
That said... My main love of music centers around this Dance Scene, the REAL scene, past all the Mainstream pish, stuff that I can channel My energies both in and out, the beats and sounds of Trance, Progressive, House, Techno, Tribal, Disco, Funk, Ambient, and even Happy Hardcore which is what all people My age probably used to bounce to in the early 90's can put a smile on My face. Funny how kids today at that same age listen to that innit? Admittedly, still a Fan of the scene =P
I'm a Part Time DJ who gets lost in the transitions of sounds, beats, rythyms and My love for Music will go with Me to the grave. I've made about 15-20 Finished sets of music mixes, all different sub-genres and hopefully will get them back uploaded as My previous site is no longer in use.
At this point, I am in the process of learning about Music Production, everything unfortunately is self taught as My general location makes it difficult to do anything other, though I am hoping that some local people might be able to assist, and ever more hopeful that some professionals might choose to get in touch via this format.
Oh and I'm also Scottish and Proud of it.

Who I'd like to meet: My Main inspirations for DJing:
Utah Saints - The tune "Something Good" was the sound of that whole era for Me. Altern8 - Those Gas Masks made everyone crazy. Ultrasonic - Check your head. Awesome Live. Underworld - Born Slippy - Marked the end of an Era, in many forms. DJ Shadow - The original mix of sounds is THE cool in breakbeat turntablism. DJ Sasha - Wears that Scottish heart on his sleeve. Jeff Mills - THE Pioneer of Techno. Skillllll. Transition after Transition, to watch him mix is hypnotic. Carl Cox - The Man that brought Fantazia to Me and made Me want to DJ. Mark Sherry of Public Domain - Respect. Thankyou for going out of your way to play at the North Star. Soon to be a regular haha! The Prodigy - I listened to them in My Art Exam - And Passed. Paul Oakenfold - I'd love to slap him for doing a pish 3 deck set in My local, he got on a private jet immediately after and everyone thought us local DJ's were him! Oh and he slagged us off for not understanding his music. At that point he had just found fame and fortune and his head was stuck up his own arse, he seems to have redeemed himself in his attitude in the last few years though. Also, one of his first sets on the Essential Mix in the days it was a relatively new thing, was AMAZING, and to this day I am still wondering what the hell that operatic interlude was. The man has telent, you cannot deny and would make My Top 5 list with ease. Scooter - Such a fun sound, I remember in 97 in a night club, Zlin, Czech Republic, the DJ played "Back in the UK" for us Scots and the place was bouncing. I never liked to fish, but I used to drive My mates Dads boat when we were kids, "Hyper Hyper" and the entire 2nd Album was often the choice of music - the boat had an AWESOME stereo system - and we used to bomb down the harbours to it, pissing every Fisherman off. Tony De Vit - "RIP" - Loved meeting you man, I was priveledged to be at The Jubilee for one of the last sets.
Man, there is probably a shit load more, but all of these above people have truely meant something.
There are hundreds of other genres which inspired Me to lift the guitar, which have kept Me going through depressive states, broken hearts, the usual shit we all go through, maybe I will add that another time.
Hey just got the net now. Had to phone a helpline to get it. It's crazy here but I like it so far even though everyone seems like a pro compared to me. Any Shetland goss? Bet ur lookin forward to goin back to work!
Ah I gotcha. Well, my PSU and vid card are shot. So is my life, I am so busy trying to get my shit together atm lol. My son is 2, so you can sum it all up from that :] No time for serious gaming....Maybe later on when I am 60 and retired (hopefully)~. ~ you?
