About me:
I have been DJing for many years, I think I brought my first Technics 1210 when I was 15 which was back in 1989!!! so nearly 20 years ago and before that I was making mixed tapes using a couple of tape decks and a pause button dropping in and out different tracks, which is a world apart from todays djing with Technics SLDZ or Pioneer CDJ1000's with SD cards and playing sets straight from a laptop using MP3's etc, still don't have to lug boxes of records about anymore which is a bonus. I started out with the early house and then the rave scene from 90 to 94 until rave music split into various other genres I have hundreds of rare and valuable rave records some of which I see go for well over a 100 quid on EBay, then followed the house scene once again until today. Back then it was only called "house music" there was no "Funky", "Electro", "Progressive" etc etc like there is today. So I could say my style now is Funky Dirty Techy Electro House with some classics dropped in because I have a bucket load of them. I've played at various clubs and bars around Bournemouth, Poole and the south coast over the years from intimate small venues to large 2000 capacity clubs and a load of private functions too, proper house parties included, when you could get away with it back in the day.
At present I'm resident DJ at "FHM" Stands for "Funky House Music" a monthly house night in Bournemouth with partner in crime "Posh Paul" usually on the 2nd saturday each month.For dates check out below.
I've just over the last couple of years started to dabble in music production with studio sound engineer guru Darren Jones, so watch this space could be some tunes on the horizon, which obviously I'll be playing in my sets.
