Goth, post punk, vodka, Captain Morgan or Morgan Spiced rum, brandy, beer (no, not lager), a nice cup of tea, cinnamon coffee, laughing, sleaze and scandal, lost causes, pirates, conspiracies, gothtart and her corset collection, chilli, sausages, things with skulls on, thirteen13 and random silliness. My favourite word is 'bollocks', it can be used in so many situations, try shouting it now, I promise you'll feel better after.
Music
goth, post punk, psychobilly, dark indie/alternative stuff, lounge, swing, a bit of classical and Ennio Morricone soundtracks (the spaghetti ones). I hate all metal, (yep, even the so called 'gothic' stuff), and I definitely don't like EBM.
Movies
Tim Burton, 60's and early 70's Michael Caine (not a lot of people know that!), Hammer Horror, bits of John Hughes, a tiny bit of fantasy, old Universal horror, 40's & 50's film noir, gangster movies, old fifties sci-fi. My favourite film is Sunset Boulevard.
Television
Fast Show, Father Ted, Blackadder, History stuff, Sponge Bob Squarepants, Heroes, CSI, NCIS, definitely no reality shite.
Books
History, biography, music. Robert Louis Stevenson (Treasure Island was the first 'proper' book I read)
Heroes
Joe Strummer and anyone that gets off their arse and does something other than moan. DJ's, bands and promoters the world over who do it for the love of the music
About me: martin oldgoth, goth/post punk DJ and promoter.
A disillusioned ex-punk, I turned to the darkside in 1982 & found I preferred it, for me the punk scene had been long dead by then, we fought a great fight, changed a few things and I moved on.
I began DJing in 1985 and most recently co-ran the club night InsanitoriuM for ten years until it ended in April 2008. I now do as many guest slots as I can get and co-run thirteen13 a promo distribution and tour booking company. You can find us on myspace HERE
If your band plays the music I do please contact me for a postal address to send material to or send me a download link. As well as DJing I publish the thirteen13 podcast which is heard by over 5000 people a month, and host a monthly radio slot showcasing new music courtesy of Cruel Britannia & Phoenix Radio.

Who I'd like to meet: goths, deathrockers, other goth DJ's, bands from the genres I spin (goth, deathrock, post punk, gothabilly, dark indie/alternative) and people that listen to those styles of music. People that want to book me and above all Paul Simonon, the man that made me pick up a bass guitar for the first time.
Your music taste is the first thing I will look at when deciding on friend requests. Remember that goth is not all about vampires, fairies and satan. Also bear in mind that Cradle of Filth are not a goth band, and neither are VNV Nation. If that's what floats your boat then fine, but I'm likely to deny your request. Thanks!
yeah. Friday night is the Steampunk ball which'll have steampunk, darkwave, and industrial. Saturday the anime convention traditionally has a rave. I'm responsible for both night. yee haw.
