About me:

Peace & blessings my people...My name is Travis Cole a.k.a. DJ Philos a.k.a. SonarOne to a few. I am a 25 year old Hip-Hop soldier who loves Drum & Bass. I was born in El Paso, Texas pero yo soy Burqueno por vida. I am currently attending the University of New Mexico here in Albuquerque. I study international politcs with a focus on Latin America. I am most interested in social movements and revolutions. I have minors in race studies and social welfare. I am the co-founder & chapter head of the New Mexico Hip-Hop Congress. I am also the Southwest Regional Coordinator. I am a DJ and member of Skull Control Records. I also co-founded Hip-Hop Without Borders and am a community organizer for IFCO/Pastors for Peace. Until U.S./Cuba relations are normalized, we will continue to travel there every year as a form of non-violent civil disobedience against the immoral U.S. blockade of the island and to build with our breadren and sistren there. My Drum & Bass affiliations include Gorilla Sound, Black Ops Militia & 3rd Deck Presha. I enjoy grassroots community organizing, civic involvement, empowering people, sustainable agriculture (both urban & rural) and alternative energy. I don't have a car but I do have several bad ass bicycles. I love to snowboard & kill back country powder when I can find the time & money. I love good beer and chronic and I probably know more about wine than I should. In the next couple of years I plan on helping Hip-Hop Congress take Hip-Hop Without Borders to the next level and establish it as a fully funded exchange program so that I can help to facilitate cultural exchanges throughout the world, bring communities together, and change this planet for the better through the culture of Hip-Hop...I guess that's it for now.
