ez I’m Rob, a 22 year old drum ‘n bass DJ living in North London. I’m originally from back up North round Bradford way but came to Middlesex University to do Creative Writing (havily influenced by the work of Hunter S Thompson) – and after graduating I’m setting up base down here to pursue a DJing/production career with my main influences being Ram Records, True Playaz/Ganja, Break and the seminal, brilliant old Good Looking records production. To fund this I’m earning my keep at Chase Farm Hospital as a kind of no-nonsense Admin guy who gets away with far too much horrendous swearing in what is, after all, a Mental Health Unit - where anything can happen at any time, and in any direction. Even from the staff.

I like to include as many styles from as many years as possible in my shows to try and trip people out. I don’t stand still much behind the decks and like to be in the mix almost constantly throughout a set. I’ve done a few competitions finishing in the top 3 in all (never winning mainly due to House dj’s always getting preferred) and ran a few cool ‘alternative’ nights at Uni. I’ll be using this page as a way of showing my ethos towards dnb and to set myself apart from others so I’ll be posting up mixes and event info once I get beyond this sort of embryonic stage. In addition, seeing as I do actually have a BA in Creative Writing which I (my parents mostly) paid for, I shall put it to some use and will post up various weird little occurrences on here as they happen, because they do and with a worrying frequency.
Who I'd like to meet: The main people I had still wanted to meet all died within 12 months of each other...they were Hunter S Thompson, Marlon Brando and Richard Whiteley. A motley Crue indeed. As for now, well, off the top of my head it'd be people like Johnny Depp, Benicio Del Toro, Johnny Vegas, Arsene Wenger, Thierry Henry and Paris Hilton. Why not? Drink her under the table and work with what's left. And maybe one day people like Kobe Tai, Nicole Sheridan, Jenevive Jolie...those with real, true grit.
