About me:

.. Biography: RoMix made her first professional appearance in 2002 at Malaga disco, encouraged and supported by her friend Hernan Cattaneo to pursue a professional career. Her progressive and always forward striving sounds and the response of the crowd led her to become soon the resident DJ of club New York City in Buenos Aires. After a few years she was made a headline DJ at the infamous club Caix, "which was at that time the official afterparties for Pacha" then at the height of its world-wide fame. From that point on, she performed in clubs such as Mint (sharing the booth with Echomen and Filterheadz), Big One, Privilege Buenos Aires (with Jody Wisternoff & Martin Roth), Bahrein, La Ideal, Museum, El Divino, Amerika, Clubzone, Jacko's, Middawn, Elsieland, After Power, KU and De la Ostia. Her ever increasing willingness opened doors to work as a producer in Metrodance FM (number 1 electronic music station in Argentina). In May 2004 she was a part of BUE Festival, warming up for Massive Attack in the main floor. In 2005, she was invited once more to be part of the BUE Mix Edition, sharing stage with artists like Morcheeba, Elvis Costello and Fischerspooner. RoMix has played several national tours, in which she has been invited to play in several major cities in Argentina such as Cordoba (Dorian Grey, Casa Babylon, Era), Mendoza (UFO Point Las Leñas, Club Zero), Tucumán (La Boite), Rosario (Mei, Blue Velvet, Tokio), La Pampa, Río Grande (Liverpool, NYE) and Mar del Plata (Sobremonte, La Caseta, La Morocha Beach, Mr. Jones). In Ushuaia she was part of the Ushuaia Sound Fest and months later she performed at Club Náutico, Kuar, Dreamland, Kaitek, Cerro Castor and Muelle 55. Her charisma, dedication and experience paved the way for her performance in Caracol club and Heineken Boat in Asuncion (Paraguay). In June, she made the crossover to Chile, where she played at Blondie disco (Santiago) and Café Journal (Viña del Mar). Months later she played at the club Key in Montevideo, Uruguay. Not before soon, she produced a gig at Tago Mago club, playing side by side with The Flash Brothers from Israel, Christian Cambas from Greece and the local hero's Szteixo, which was a new boost to her already solid career. Since August 2006 she has represented the prestigious brand Jeans Makers, projecting the brand's image in the events organized by the firm. In 2007, besides her participation as a DJ in the KSK Radio Space of the Southamerican Music Conference (SAMC), she was the Stage Manager of Cocoon Tent, the main stage of that venue. In the summer of 2007, RoMix decided to travel to Europe to expand her own horizons, and thus she played at Mondo, Forum, Le Kasbah and La Nueva Ola Beach in Barcelona and then moved to Greece to meet her radio partner, Anna Maria X (wife of the infamous G-PAL), staying with them in Crete and showing her style in Glow (Halkida), Idee (Vrahati, Korinthos) and back to back with Anna in Cinema Club (Nafpatkos). In 2008 the tour around Europe was extended, making true her dream of playing in the home of the electronic music: London, where she had the opportunity to perform in The Egg, Acquarium and The Private Room. Back in Greece, her music was heard in Almyra Beach (Rhodes), Tribecca (Athens) and Bojo Beach (Lamia). In Stockholm she was member of the Midsummer Pirates Festival and in Madrid she played in Taboo and in a popular party called La Paloma. In addition to her solo career, she has joined Luis del Vecchio to form Fusion, whose sounds made it to several dance floors and were broadcasted in KSK Radio. Fusion was headliner at KU Pinamar and performed in Plaza Mateo and MK1 club, both in Montevideo, Uruguay. Also, she has a female partner called Laura Seh, playing together with cd decks, visuals and Ableton Live as Femmes on Decks. Their first appearance together was in February, performing at one of the biggest clubs in Buenos Aires “Big One”. After that, they had gigs all over the country and in April they played at Oceanía Club in Medellín, Columbia. They also opened the main stage of Versus Sessions Festival, where they shared booth with Above & Beyond, Andy Moor, Circulation, Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West), Sultan, Paul Rogers, Miss Nine, 100% Isis, Solar Stone and many more. RoMix counts with the support of many DJs and people in the electronic music business around the globe: Flash Brothers, Pole Folder, Hernan Catteneo, Alex Dolby, Steve Porter, Lexicon Avenue, Lee Burridge. Monthly her sets can be listened to at Danceradio (Greece), Ensonic (Germany), Underground Sounds Radio (Miami), ADN Alternative, Release Records (Canada), KSK Radio and Proton. Actually she has a show on Frisky Radio with her dj partner Laura She called High Heeled Geeks. Her horizons are not limited to her deejaying career, but extend to producing her own tracks and she has also been organizing events and looking for new ones in the future.
