Music in all its forms, art in general and by art i mean all things that move me from a beautiful piece of furniture to a futuristic looking hair cut...no form restriction either.
Soccer is my weak spot and i try to keep myself within the sport since i used to play back in the days.
Music
Music is essential in my life...it has given me a sense of purpose...Of course, i m mostly into electronica because it is the sound of the future and i like to look ahead but i ve listened to all kinds of music in my lifetime and i m planning to continue doing so...my only criteria is my ear drum and the rest of my senses...
Movies
Well, i ve seen too many movies to even consider answering this...some movies of Jarmusch i ve really enjoyed...Old comedians like Luis de Funes...I m opting for quality where it can be found...
Television
next....
Books
Every book that falls in my hands is well treated. I usually know after reading the first 20 pages if it s any good. The story is important but the way it is being told is equally important.
Heroes
"we don't need another hero"...Tina Turner (enough said)
About me:
S.A.L.V.A. is half Greek/half French and also related to Constantinople, therefore a very open-minded person considering himself a citizen of the world. He has firmly shown an understanding of music in a very particular manner.
He got his first real gig at Columbus beach in Santorini, a very famous Greek island. He played a set ranging from electro-tech to prog-tech/progressive/techno and during the early morning hours he even played some dreamy progressive trance. The people’s reaction was magical and then he just knew he should go for it no matter what.
His next step is to get his breaks/minimal/prog/electro/rock/techno/deep/acid mash up of electronic and analogue sounds out there and continue his musical quests. In 2007, he got gigs @ clubs New York & Paris among others. Now, he has various ideas and propositions and is carefully planning events and residencies.
S.A.L.V.A is also collaborator of progressivehouse.com in matters of reviews showing his broad interest and knowledge of the scene with many future projects ahead of him. He has a bi-weekly 2-hour show @ danceradio.gr managing to increase his audience up to 500% within a year. His musical selections and flawless mixing in addition to his carefully selected guests have led to that.
His unexpected meeting with Tim Coven has refreshed his musical perspective and they are planning when he finishes his military obligations to start a project : a home studio for djing, production and online radio streaming...
Who I'd like to meet: Well, mostly inteligent forms of life...and positively charged persons. Enough with the negativity and the pesimism...
