From fronting a rock band to djing in front of a sea of people, Adam Duke has always been passionate about turning people on to something new. With 9 years in Toronto’s electronic community, both on his own and as half of notorious dj duo The Dukes, he’s been billed alongside numerous major international acts like Ellen Allien, Tony Rohr, Carl Craig, Matthew Herbert, Kevin Saunderson, Joey Beltram, Lorin Bassnector, Afrika Bambaataa and Miss Kitten to name but a few. He’s played the top clubs, the large outdoor festivals, store fronts, abandoned factories and even a biker gang clubhouse with his brand of fresh, creative, squelchy dancefloor grooves. Never expect anything from Adam Duke...except something different.
Adam Duke has most recently been working in the studio on original material involving experiments in live sampling - with a mini album and some various collaborative side project works coming out in the spring/summer 2008.

Slam follow up the impressive 'City Destroyer' with the 2nd release on their hot new imprint Paragraph. The label has successfully secured much support including the who's who of the techno fraternity, from Richie Hawtin to Mobilee label boss Anja Schneider. Paragraph number 2 has created quite a stir already with the track 'What's On Your Mind' featuring on Slam's own "Sci-Fi Hi-Fi" mix CD last year. The A-side is the epic Hot Knives, (a track purely composed for Slam live shows), which has already rocked every club and festival they played last year. Hot Knives has already been described as Slam's biggest dancefloor destroyer since Positive Education.
There I was rocking out to the mix you gave me at Mutek, cruising through Vermont. Next thing I know I'm getting pulled over and handed a $145 ticket. Thanks. :) -- the guy in the no requests T.shirt
With the highly sought after Robb G & Paranoid Jack remix of Atomic Hoolgan’s “Sptiball”, Promo Records is making it’s explosive return to the scene. The original version of “Spitball” is a standout track on Atomic Hooligan’s award winning “You Are Here” album which propelled them to their current globe trotting star status. The previously unreleased Robb G & Paranoid mix morphs the track into an uptempo, electro laced, dancefloor destroyer.
...name 'it' Sean. I think it will have to have a neat, savage name that reflects it's true nature, if it is ever going to play in Adam's band. Like Hrothgar. Sean is so 2006. I heard it's all about the Norse baby names these days. By the way, how did you get that picture from the future on your myspace profile? The kid is soo cute :)
