Adam Shelton – Biography – November 2009
Adam Shelton started his DJ career in the late 90's with his first musical steps being shaped through living in Ibiza at that time.
These days Adam sources influences from a broad range of world music with a focus on quality underground house.
Adam’s own night, Below at The Rainbow in Birmingham, is now in its fifth year and continues to be one of the most cutting edge nights in the UK. Showcasing a selection of the premier league of DJ’s, in its unique and intimate environment, Below is currently one of the most respected bastions of House on the scene.
Recently Adam has played alongside the likes of Sven Vath, Luciano, 2000 and One and Jamie Jones, to name a few. Adam’s skills, versatility and range have lead him to guest at some of the best spots in the world including Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Cocoon, Back to Basics and Space in Ibiza.
As well as being an avid vinyl collector Adam has also just released his own production with fellow Below resident, Subb-an, on their own label “One Records”. The first release has been championed by the likes of Luciano, Slam, Paul Woolford and many more. The release has also received rave reviews in the likes of DE:Bug, Resident Advisor and DJ Mag as well as airplay from the likes of Pete Tong and others on Radio 1.
