Ali Wilson is one of the most exciting young artists the UK has to offer, at only 27 he has played all over the globe including, Trance Energy, The Gallery Ministry Of Sound Tours, Judgement Sunday in Ibiza and produced for some of the top labels in the world – Warner, High Contrast, Toolroom, Spinnin, Incharge, Flashover and of course his own imprint TEKELEC.
As versatile DJ and Producer, Ali has always defied to conform to the consensus. Finding inspiration from every corner of the musical spectrum, Ali brought a fresh approach to dance music. His sound was unique and technical ability unparalleled, immediately making him stand out as an artist.
The media soon picked up on the hype as Mixmag proclaimed Mr Wilson as one of the ‘TOP 5 young DJ’s to watch WORLDWIDE’ alongside Nic Fanculii and Montana also cementing this recognition by awarding him as a ‘MixMag Future Hero 2003’. Picking up ‘best new producer’ from the UK’s biggest club forum Harderfaster.net and DJMag honouring him as the ‘one to watch’, this was just beginning for the young man who had the belief in his own sound, this has all lead on to Carl Cox naming him one of his ‘producers of 2006’ in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll & Judge Jules inviting Ali to do a mix on Radio 1 as his ‘Top Tip for 2008’ !
Ali’s production has taken things to another level when media giant Warner asked Ali to remix The ‘BBC Sound of 2009’ award winner ‘Little Boots’ not only once but twice after they were so happy with the first single.
Ali is also well on his way to finishing his brand new artist album for High Contrast, has just been asked by Marco V to remix a brand new single from his new album ‘Propaganda’, and has big singles coming over the summer from the likes of Toolroom & Incharge. Watch this space!
On top of his original material hitting huge heights his selection of bootlegs that he has produced over the years namely Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ which was supported by Carl Cox for nearly a year along side every other big name, and his brand new giant to be, Kings of Leon’s ‘Use somebody’ is looking to be even bigger!
