Anthea began to learn the craft of DJ’ing back in 1997 and in the intervening years has come up through the ranks demonstrating a subtlety and sophistication that most of her male counterparts could only wish for. She has managed to hone a style which varies between house and techno but it is deep, tribal and bassline fuelled yet always sweetly funk-driven and cutting edge.
Anthea’s deck skills have enabled her to share the booth with luminaries like Locodice, Jay Haze, Efdemin, Derrick Carter and ZIP. Holding down residencies and regular guest spots in her home town of London (Phonica / T bar / Faith / Clandestino / Circoloco) was only the beginning, with bookings now coming in further afield at clubs such as Panorama Bar, Ibiza’s Underground & Space on the back of burgeoning career in the studio. She is also now stepping up for her first dates at Fabric.
With a great sense of mood and groove, she has found her feet as a producer and her first efforts have now debuted on key labels Freak n’Chic, Cecille, Phonica Records, Supplement-Facts and Tuningspork which demonstrate the quality on offer and bode well for a successful and inspiring future.

Some comments: Ronald van Norden (Eminor, Tracer, Tight Lipped): Definitely the best EP I've heard of BMM! Good work! Carsten Rausch: I really like Mario Plaza - Vocal Sense. All Mixes are nice, but the Original Mix is my fav. Full support for that one! Dave James: Vocal sense is cool, hypnotic mix is my fave. Galuszka: The original starts chunky and gets funky, a nice groove. The remixes by Luis Noic take it minimal. The Hipnotic remix revisits some classic techno sounds, love it. The Reddman: The Vocal Sense Track was very smooth. It was one of those tracks that make you want to just stand in front of the speaker, close your eyes and let the music take you on a trip to somewhere deep within your own mind. M.O.D.E.: Luis Noic on vocal sense is great. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favourite mix is Luis Noic Hypnotic remix. Deep sounds with brilliant production. The 4th release on diaphan music comes as a VA with 4 strong trax, that are already played by a lot of national and international artists like Brothers Vibe, Anthony Collins, Nekes, Ray Okpara, Retrac from the Acid Casuals and so on, just to name some of them. On A1 Spiky makes his debut with “forest trees”: a minimal track that generates a very funky groove with its cleverly arranged horn sequences. “Dusty hands” on A2 is much deeper with its fat bass lines and some “housy” chords and vocals. The track is written/produced by Lee Fraged, the mastermind of the net-label “THIS SIDE MUSIC”. “Coowee” on B1 is written/ produced by Little Fritter. A young Australian artist who has already released some first cool tracks on Labels such as Affin and Catwash. Our comment on that amazing tune is: “damn driving House Music as its best” from the first to the last second. And last but not least “Metro” on B2, a minimal stomping track that really burns, produced by D-Cut. A very experienced artist who runs his own net-label “JACKSUM RECORDS”.
