Whether you were at the Renaissance event or not, if you're into garage and two step in Malaysia, you'd be familiar with this young and talented DJ / artiste who has performed at such acclaimed nights like Beatmonkey and Edukation and playing at Chemical (the former Backroom), the Sunway Merdeka Street Carnival and the F1 Launch Party all last year. He has remixed and toured with local artistes such as Siti Nurhaliza, Ferhad and Ruffedge and a collab with UK vocalist Sharon Kelly is in the pipeline.
"When I make a track or even spin to a crowd, Ill make sure that my sounds and performance are soulful and full of substance, if it does not have these ingredients, Ill pick up myself up quicker than having to say BO SELECTA!!" Ash adds. Ash calls his style "two step garage fused with urban soul" and looks up to MJ Cole as his inspiration.
Already performed live sets for radio and being crowned grand champion of the Philips Mania / JUICE DJ Competition, Ash is currently juggling between production touring with Ferhad and Sierra. The "artistes' touring DJ" has a single "Boom Selection!" which has received rave reviews from critics around the world. The single shot to the ..1 position on the AcidPlanet charts.
