In terms of dance music Iam into all sorts of stuff. Really into proper soul and disco Kerri Chandler, Larry "father" Levan, Frankie "son" knuckles and David "Holy Spirit" Mancuso. Its fantastic for warming up and ten hours later for sending the hardcore dancers (thats you Ferdizzle) over the edge. But for the real meaty stuff Danny T, Vitallic, New Order, Slam, Hakim Bey, Miss Kitten, Cyril K, Para One, Justice, Digitalisim and Blak Strobe. Plus some old Speed Garage stuff (e.g serious danger) for the, lets be honest, rudeness. Also theres the odd pinch of Persian pop music courtesy of my family in Iran, some of that stuff is fucking amamzing as dance music e.g try searching Arash on limewire.
Also clearly a big influence is Chris from shipley for teaching me to DJ and lending me records when I had fuck all vinyl.

I first got into music by listening to some. I started out paying guitar, piano and a dabble of trumpet/tuba as a kid and that gave me my lifelong love of varoius kinds of classical music. Playing in guitar and singing got me playing in varius bands from funk-punk to indie to a pubcovers band. Since then Ive had a couple of gigs singing swing to pigs (cops) (dont ask). I also do acoustic gigs singing with my guitar. However this page is mainly about my djing. I got into dance music through the anarcho-rave (some species of communist boxsocial) scene around Bradford and have since become a regular dj with a couple of party collectives. We do parties from one rig and 50 ravers to 3 or 4 rigs with 100s. I have also played at clubs around Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield. I have started making mix cds and just started trying to make some of my own house and techno (charleston and quickstep) tunes (songs).

Not too shabby, and yes, I'm still employed by Monty Burns, although I'm customer support these days. Soon (in 3 months) to be back in sweet Bradfordia, for a while at least... have to make some life decisions, and I have the nack of invariably picking the wrong ones :S
