The Harris County Sheriff's Department is investigating a double shooting that occurred about 1 p.m. Monday in the 12900 block of Shannon Hills Drive in Southwest Harris County.

The Sheriff's Office cordoned off a two block radius from the home where the shooting occurred. One unidentified woman and an unidentified man are confirmed dead. Police believe the man was the woman's ex-boyfriend and that he shot her before turning the gun on himself.
Friends and family who gathered in the neighborhood were visibly upset; some had to be restrained from entering the shooting scene)))))
