DJ, Promoter, event manager and musician - B*Licious plays at various club nights, launch parties, fashion shows, bars and festivals. Playing a selection of choice cuts for a discerning audience, you can hear her play the latest electro, beats and breaks alongside classic funk, soul, dub and disco, re-edits, re-rubs and re-cuts. Last year included sets at T in the Park, underground festival Organic Beats, Glasgow Fashion Week, La Roche Rumba, Inner City Acid, Fish Fry at the Jazz Bar in Edinburgh, ventures to Riff Raff in Leeds and MadCoW in Shrewsbury, a weekly residency at the Otto bar in Glasgow's West End and countless other gigs in the city including the Warehouse, The Social, Brunswick Hotel, CCA, MacSorleys Music Bar, Nice'n'Sleazy and the Twisted Wheel.
B*Licious was responsible for bringing the Skatalites to the Glasgow Carling Academy for their first ever show in Scotland back in 2003 and around the same time, held a DJ residency in the funk back room at Unity Reggae Sound System at the Soundhaus. She's also provided DJ support to the legendary Roy Ayers and Candi Staton a few years back at the Renfrew Ferry.
B*Licious is also a resident DJ at the Carnival Arts Centre. The arts space-venue-carnival centre-club-warehouse-in-your-living-room is responsible for some of the most exciting, underground club nights in Glasgow. The strange and ever-changing atmosphere has resulted in a venue space that is unique to Carnival Arts. Clubbers love it. Part of the collective that runs the space, B*Licious first became involved with Carnival Arts when she approached them in 2003 to provide a carnival atmosphere to Massiff Adventure - an outdoor mini festival at Kings Court in Glasgow featuring Jazzie B's Soul II Soul Soundsystem. A colourful and noisy relationship developed, and before she knew it, she was was promoting all sorts of nights at the Carnival Arts venue including DMC 3x Champions C2C, Alice Russell, Future World Funk, James Browns' trumpet player's experimental outfit Mother Popcorn and a whole lot more. These shows she supported in tandem with DJ Furious Breaks as part of the DJ collective Funkin' GoNuts which had a simple music policy - if it breaks, it shakes and it goes on a turntable.
Most recently, she's part of a strange new night set in the depths of the Blackfriars Basement which will come to be known as Zoo Muzik. This monthly Noah's Ark of disco dancing, jungle growling mayhem is coming your way monthly from May 2009 featuring GK Machine and B*Licious plus guests.
And then you'll want to dance.

Brandnew 7inch OUT NOW SERIOUS SOUL feat. John Turrell
this 7" comes in pure pristine white vinyl and is strictly limited to 400 copies! There will be NO digital release of these tracks until next album is coming out Starting as an instrumental among all of the new thrilling demos from the forthcoming Bahama Soul Club's album, John Turrell from "Smoove&Turrell" was directly inspired by this track, adding his "from the heart" lyrics about collecting rare vinyl and vinyl junkies. A gospel flavoured and soul powered homage to those sought after, original 7's on a funky bahama bossa.
Immediately released just as it was sung on the first take, rawly arranged to save that genuine feel from John's first recorded ideas.
It's much more than an appetizer, it's really a gem, that you shouldn't miss!
