About me:
DJ Book wears many hats. When he's not spinning at one of his two weekly residencies, he is in the studio spinning live mixes on the radio or making deals with collectors around the world who come to him for "rare vinyl" finds. Music has always been part of Book's life starting with his father, who was an avid jazz music collector and two older brothers who dj’ed parties during Book's formative years. His
natural acumen for dj-ing is revealed in his ability to create a flow regardless of genre and sensibility. Book is easily able to maintain fans of both mainstream and independent music He can be heard every evening
on WPGC (95.5 FM) and also every Thursday night on community radio station WPFW (89.3FM) with his collective,"The Soul Controllers". Many of Book's listeners say that his set,"tells a story". He responds
to this in his usual humble manner by saying,"I don't actively plan out sets for that purpose,it just seems to happen. My main focus is on flow. I like things to progress naturally." It doesn't end there, Book's mixes can also be found www.superadio.com, a music producer and distributor of marquis radio programming with syndication that includes over 2,500 radio stations domestic and abroad.
As many dj’s now find there is a "natural progression" into the world of music production.In this arena Book finds himself in demand with a varied list of clients that include: Trackboyz Entertainment, Tabi Bonney, and N.O.T. Music Group. Two of his most recent projects inlcude "Bonified" by DC favorites Tabi Bonney and Wale and work with DJ Jealously on new music by Kido Yano. Multi-talented and multi-faceted, DJ Book is a crowd favorite whether he's
