FACT Magazine mix - May 2009(click above to stream or here to download)
FACT Mix 52 is provided by Rinse FM resident Braiden, and it's completely sick.
If you've seen Braiden DJ before, you'll know he's absurdly talented - him, Oneman and Brackles are spoke about in London circles like a holy trinity of mixers, and listening to his FACT mix you'll immediately be able to see why - it's done off three decks, and blends everything from fringe UK bass mutations (Zomby's '1 Up'; Darkstar's 'Aidy's Girl's A Computer') to wistful dubstep (Pangaea's 'Memories'), to top-end house (Supermayer's 'Hey Hotties!', Daniel Wang's 'All Flowers Must Fade') to Juke, to UK funky, to 'The Jacking Zone'.
Basically, everything here's great, and the mixing's tighter than a gnat's chuff. What more encouragement do you need? Oh, and listen to it on headphones. If you don't, you'll miss out on the cool ending.
I am very passionate about disc jockeying you see. I blend together a variety of music into one delectable whole. Depending on the situation expect one or more or all of the following: techno, UK Funky, dubstep, hip hop, garage, house and electro.
I have a biweekly show on London's biggest: RinseFM. Every other Tuesday lunchtime 1-3pm.
You can listen to past radio shows and studio mixes of mine (with tracklistings) at http://www.mixcloud.com/braiden.

I am also a photographer. I enjoy lighting and interesting visual concepts. I completed the BA Photography course at London College of Communication in 2009. I am always looking for new commissions or to collaborate. Check out the my portfolio at http://www.stevebraiden.com.
RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY:
Listen to Braiden throw down a three-deck mix on leading London pirate Rinse FM, or play alongside the great & the good of dubstep at clubs like Plastic People, Scala, The End and The Egg, and it’s clear that he sees music through his own unique lens. An exhibitionist described by FACT Magazine as “absurdly talented”, Braiden lives up to the hype with a mixing style that thrives on the element of surprise – he has been known to crawl Berlin’s clubs in search of undiscovered glitch- or disco-infused music from alternate universes. An avid photographer who has recently shot artist portraits for the Ministry of Sound, look to Braiden for a technicolour vision of the future of London music.
NIGHT SLUGS:
Braiden is celebrated for blowing up dubstep's limitations with his inventive selection and super-tight, technical mixing. Spearheading the current wave of London's what-do-you-call-it experimentation, his sets comfortably splice house, techno, garage and dubstep.
