My name is Brent Bartel. I've been djing professionally for nine years as Dj Echo/Brent Bartel.
I play all types of music, but mainly hip hop, house, and mashups.
I have djed all over the country at clubs and raves since 1997. I have been fortunate enought to dj at raves, clubs, private parties, and pre-party events with amazing talent like Yin Yang Twins, Prince, Slash from Gun's n' Roses, E-40, the Federation, Velvet Revolver, Bad Boy Bill, Dj Abilities, Dj Spyder, Scott Hardkiss, Mark Farina, Dieselboy, Frankie Bones, Doc Martin, Scottie Boy, Derrick Carter, LSDJ's (Scooter and Lavelle), Christopher Lawrence, Johnny Fiasco, Sandra Collins, Heather, Collette, J.T. Donaldson, Chuck Love, ESP Woody McBride, Hipp-E, Halo, Stacey Kidd, Paul Johnson, Justin Long, Traxx, Marquess Wyatt, and many, many more. I started djing when I was 18 at the legendary First Avenue (www.first-avenue.com), where Prince filmed Purple Rain and many major acts got their start. I love that club. :)
In 2006 I djed @ Junior Seau's Annual Charity Event at Seau's in San Diego. In the past I have done fashion shows for Hugo Boss @ two Human Rights Campaign Fashion Shows in Minneapolis. In 2006/2007 I djed @ Hard Rock Hotel's Playground parties, for the opening of the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. I played the pre-party hosted by Carmen Electra and Ashlee Simpson followed by a live Yin Yang Twins and Hoobastank concert. I also recently djed the official party for the San Diego Film Festival at the W Hotel.
In 2007 I have already headlined for over 2500 people at the annual DJHERE party at the Manchester Hyatt downtown San Diego. I have also headlined for thousands of people at three block parties downtown San Diego: The annual Mardi Gras, ShamROCK, and Cinco De Mayo events.
