About DJ Brian Eason

My name is Brian, I started DJing in 1994 in upstate NY, Middletown to be exact. For the first 6 months I practiced every waking moment, until one day an opportunity came up in Newburgh, NY when one of the DJ's at a dance party did'nt show up to play. The promoters of the event asked around looking for annyone to fill the slot. A friend of mine named Keith McQueen told them about me & they wanted to hear a demo. I just happened to have a cassette tape of a mixed set I did at home. I played it for them in my car, they liked it, and the rest was history. I went by the name DJ Mystery. (Many years later I found out there already was a DJ Mystery) Over the course of two years I was playing gigs from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania. With crowds ranging from 50 to 5000 people. In 2000 I moved to Hilton Head Island, SC where The music scene was'nt so popular. I bought some of my own studio equipment, and started to write, and produce my own music from home. I used the name S.T.N. Recordings. (S.T.N. stands for Sleep Till Noon) As the years went by the quality of music got better, and better. I never stopped spinning records, but there's something about putting a part of yourself out there that's somewhat elating.
