Hakkımda: Dj Bribe first commenced DJing at the age of 16 in his bedroom like most aspiring Djs of today mainly focusing ..ting and scratching hip hop and funk. Today he utilizes his legendary DJ and scratching skills to the floors of Australian and New Zealand.
Coming from Brisbane, Angus was more then ever determined to gain national recognition and put Brisbane on the national map. He accomplished this rapidly and by 1990 had won a succession of highly competitive DJ competitions, and had supported and trained with Djs from international Hip Hop acts such as public enemy, Ice-T, Run DMC and DJ Scratch. He also became a state champion in the DMC competitions with a controversial 3rd place nationally in Sydney (he was the audiences choice)/
By this time Angus was being considered as one of Australia’s most technically proficient DJS. This lead to his successful scoring and recidencies in Brisbanes most prestigiousclubs.this lead to Dj Bribe (AKA Dj Angus) being in constant demand all over the county for the next decade whist holding down residencies in Queenslands most presdigeous clubs, funking up danfloors all over the county with his skills. Once described by Melbourne's Richie Rich as "by far Australia's best Dj".
From 1995 to 1998, Angus moved to become the resident DJ at “The Tube” and since then has rocked the floors of Brisbane at many parties, club nights and has toured the country as well as New Zealand.
As well as playing around the country, Angus has been the resident radio Dj at 4ZZZ on their dance show for 8 years on Saturday nights which is Brisbane’s most popular, original and only true dance show.
Angus personal highlights include meeting and playing back to back with his current and long time friend, Derrick Carter as well as providing the scratching for John Digweed’s Bedrock Remix of “Intoxication” by React 2 Rhythm in 1997." Debuting at no 1 in mixmag, this was an amazing and "intoxicating" tune to most and it was also jackpot's only no 1 release that year which helped them earn 'Label of the year'
At the moment Angus is co producing two albums and scratching for 'the addicts' and 'the demographics' two of which he considers extremely talented artists.
Dj Bribe is by many considered to be the first proper scratcher/t'tableist in Australia-way ahead of his time and still keeps his skills on the dex sharp daily. His skills are nothing of perfect, and his ability to motivate crowds insightful
