Although he has always been seriously into the Electronic Dance Scene, Calibos’ passion originally lay with acting and theatre. After leaving school failing all but music and acting, he spent three years studying different aspects of theatre at Harlow College. First he took a diploma in Performing Arts, and then went on to study Media studies and photography. After a while, he and a group of friends of various ages founded a theatre company in Essex Called Chain Reaction. This is where Calibos got his first taste of performing in front of a large audience. Needles to say he was addicted. Over the next few years the theatre company went from strength to strength, performing all ends of the theatrical spectrum from Shakespeare to Brecht! After about six years of that he started getting tired of the theatre and decided he no longer wanted to pursue a career there. Shattered and lost he had no idea what he wanted to do from then on. He decided he had had enough of everything he knew and got on a plane to Thailand. After a few months of travelling around the country he eventually settled down for several months in an island called Koh Pha-ngan! Ever heard of the full moon party’s? Highly recommend you check them out!!!! Working in a bar called "The Lazy House" in Haad rin village, he decided one day to put on a party. So he printed some flyers, got some Dj’s etcetera and although it wasn’t a huge success it certainly answered all his questions on what he should do with his life! Now, home and settled, he performs a truly captivating set combining Decks, Effects & final Scratch!
