(FR) Né en 1981 à Bordeaux, Julien vit ensuite onze années en Afrique où il découvre le piano à l'âge de 6 ans grâce a un professeur russe à la personnalité très forte. Il poursuit son apprentissage du piano et du solfège à l'ENMDL (France) jusqu'à l'âge de 17 ans. Mais pour ses 14 ans, Julien s'est vu acquérir sa première machine: la groovebox Roland MC-303. Ce fut le début d'une longue passion pour la création, la production et l'arrangement de musiques électroniques. Julien s'aperçoit alors qu'il y a tellement de choses a découvrir. C'est ce qui le pousse a l'apprentissage du mix avec platines vinyles. Dj depuis l'âge de 16 ans, Julien s'est créé une réputation auprès du public français (à Bordeaux avec des soirées au 4sans, au Space, à La Factory, à l'Azuli Bar, à l'Hérétic, au Nautilus / à Paris au Rex Club, au Batofar / à Toulouse au Bikini, à l'Ambassade), madrilène (Dj au Cafe de La Palma, au Hannabi, au Nature, à la Sala Maxime), et australien (résidence au Safari, et Private Parties au 46ème étage du Q1).
Après des études de commerce international, concrétisées par l'obtention d'un master en Business « spécialité Management de l'événementiel », qui l'ont aidé à devenir trilingue, Julien a alors créé en 2007 Boxon Records. Ce label de musique, basé sur Bordeaux (France), sélectionne des artistes afin de les aider à se promouvoir, via la sortie de disques, la négociation de dates de spectacles, et par le biais de l’organisation d’événements, les Boxon Parties. Julien déclare lors d'un interview en 2007: "je mixe depuis 10 ans, j’ai joué intensément du piano pendant 12 ans, et écouté de la musique pendant plus de 26 ans! Créer un label de musique était mon destin." Vive la musique!

(ENG) Born in the summer of 1981 in Bordeaux, Julien discovered his passion for music when he began to play piano at the age of 6, in Douala, Cameroun, with a Russian teacher. When he returned to France he continued playing piano until the age of 17. Since that time he has relinquished his efforts with the piano and has instead directed his focus towards using the keyboard and dj equipment to enhance his digital creations, which also furthers his overall understanding in music. Parallel to his experience with piano, when he was 14, he got his first machine: the groovebox MC-303, made by Roland. "This day was so important for me because it meant that I could do what I always wanted. For the first time, I was able to create a complete song, with beats and melodies, with a little machine. That is one of the reasons that I began to learn the art of mixing two years later". Beginning with Trance Music, he played with the genre during his initial 2 years of mixing, progressed to playing Techno which he again perfected during 2 more years. Lastly, he turned towards Electro with its heavy beats and killer grooves along with rock and rap influences. "I have always listened to several genres of music. I believe it is essential that I learn something from every style of music which I encounter, in order to continually grow and mature. I try to put a little bit of everything in my sets - mainly electro - throwing in little touches of funky, jazz, soul, etc.; and of course I LOVE spinning some techno for those last fleeting hours of parties where the sun is rising and the vision of ecstasy is stamped on everyone's face".
In 2007, Julien has created his own music label, called Boxon Records. For an interview, Julien says: "I have studied international business, before to get a master specialized in event management, what helped me to become trilingual. I have been deejaying for ten years, studying piano for 12 years, and listening music for more than 26 years! Creating a label was just my destiny."

Aprendió el piano cuando solo tenía 6 años, por eso que le gusta tanto la música. Siguó aprendiendo a jugar con maquinas como la Mc-303 de Roland cuando tenia 14 años, y con los platos Mk2 a los 16. Luego, se pusó a la producción musical con ordenadores.
En 2007, Julien decidió montar su propio sello discográfico. Le llama: Boxon Records. Para un entrevista, Julien declara: "he estudiado comercio international, antes de conseguir mi master -especialidad gestión de eventos, lo que me ayudo para hablar tres idiomas. Aprendi el piano a los 5 anos, pincho discos desde hace diez años, y sobre todo escucho musica desde hace mas de 26 años! Montar mi propio sello discográfico solo fue mi destino."
