The love for hip hop since the ripe young age of 7, starting out with my Fat Boys "Crushin" tape. Scratching my dads records on his audiophile record player and getting yelled at that i was "going to ruin his needle"........
DJ Cee Block:
Started out with a huge passion for the club scene, Cee Block realized that he wanted to be in control. he wanted to be the one on stage making everyone dance. Starting out with a pair of belt drive Gemini turntables and a cheap mixer it began.... mixing,scratching, beat juggling. he would try it all. After years of practice, going to clubs, watching the crowd and learning how to read the crowd and pick just the right song for the dance floor Cee Block decided it was time for his first gig.
With help from his friend Frank from the house production group LostDaze, Cee Block would get his first gig. a fill in for a hip hop night at club Venu in Boston. That night would be the turning point for Cee Block, taking it to the next level. After many, many shows watching Dj Tony Sap ,again from LostDaze, going to shows for 2 years watching, learning even more. it was time to venture out on his own. Taking over a weekly resident night at a local hot spot, Cee Block has been able to hone his skills behind the decks, upgrading equipment to Serato Scratch Live, bringing back the feel of Vinyl and commanding the turntables.
Now booking tours, playing large venus with major hip hop artist, such as G-unit and Lloyd Banks, collaborating with major companies and sponsors for international festivals and playing shows for thousands, Cee Block is again taking it to the next level.
Also working in some production time in the studio, Cee Block has been working with underground hip hop artist Cho-Sun for some unbelievable tracks you should look for in a record store near you.....
