I'm dedicating my show to J-Dilla AKA JayDee BKA James Yancey. He has inspired me in such a huge way and I feel that the best way to say thanks, is to play his music, listen and reflect on the works of a great producer. This cat changed my life and his music will NEVER DIE... So long as I live. I will play songs from his albums as well as some Slum, Jaylib, Sa Ra, PPP, Phat Kat, Tribe, Busta, Roots, Instrumentals, remixes and more.... To the MC's... Come grab the mic and spit some freestyles over some of the instrumentals. I almost feel like I should do something to say thanks to jay dee every week.... Truly a sad day for hip hop.

DJ Check One will mix, cut and deliver from an all-embracing, professional music
library to persuade any audience. DJ Check One leads a number of highly acclaimed
bands and projects. His extensive experience as a producer/percussionist has led him to
collaborate and share stages with The Roots, Al Green, KRS-One, DJ Logic, Ozomatli among
many signed artists. Inspired by a conversation with drummer/producer ?uestlove
(The Roots), he embarked on the conversion of live drumming to mixing and creating
rhythm-on-turntable. DJ Check One hit the scene white hot, performing at numerous
venues, releasing and distributing mix tapes heard internationally, recently blasting a show in
the London scene. Music evolves, as does he, attempting to fashion a new empirical musical vocabulary, all the while sporting dark glasses and an elegant pursuit of music from within, off
