DJ, Producer, Promoter, and People Person, Mr. Calix has been a veteran on the hard knock streets of the dance music industry for decades. (Originally hailing from the infamous South Beach in Miami.) Though sometimes wondering where all the years have gone, Mr. Calix has remained strong in his conviction that the "scene" is chock full of wonderful moments and memories.
If music is a passion, then Mr. Calix is a fish. Whatever that means. With his heels dug in the mud and his nose pointed to the wind he has honed his skills as a DJ about as much as his ability to scratch paint off a wall. Something not everyone would understand, but he does somehow.
His brand of Techno is definately tasty, much like breakfast sausage after a long night of drinking. Goes down yummy but what comes back up is twisted. Mr. Calix has been known as a surgeon on the decks. Just dont let him operate on anyone, please! All jokes aside, Mr. Calix commands respect. For his efforts to build a better world through his love of digital music and for being able to bring people together to waste their lives away in the clubs.
In addition, if there is anyone who is never content with just playing tracks it would be him. To watch him work is a show in and of itself much like a circus performer on mescaline. And nice as hell a person as the one who sold me my last used vehicle. Therefore, I personally look forward to the future with my friend and dont ever listen to me. Signed, yours truly, J.D.
Oh, yeah...back by popular demand...
::Welcome to my little corner of the world where the freaks love their blips and bleeps, while the basslines drop and rarely ever stop. Where the smiles go for miles and miles and the liquor flows to their bellies below. The strange and looming sounds that pump between the walls, then the beat just stalls. Whipping back together in a flash as the DJ raises his hand in a dash, he cuts through the audience with a gash. What peculiar thing makes these people sing? To the words they hear but barely know? Well my friend, it's all just part of the show. Lights blink and lasers cut as you watch the girl lay down her strut. All eyes fixed on the booth as the DJ smiles with a crooked tooth. The audience exhausted and enthralled, but worry not for the curtain call. Because if your lucky, afterhours is just behind that wall::
You know who you are ;-{0
