About me:
Hi! I'm Colin Hancock, or 'Colon' to my friends! I'm a professional graphic designer / webmaster by day and drum & bass dj / producer by night. Along with others I am part of the Tremors Crew, a troop of djs, producers and performers based in Shrewsbury. I also work for the towns premier music venue The Buttermarket, aswell as an active promoter for the venue. Local brands I have previously been involved in include MonkeyCrap, Tremors, & more recently Gears Of Bass. I have worked with live bands in the past for events, but nowadays focus mainly on live electronic artists and djs.
I also provide flyer / poster / advertising design services to anyone who needs them, so if you need any graphics doing, for whatever purpose, give me a shout. I have both the design skills and marketing know how to aid or create a brand that would work for your purpose.
In 2008 and beyond I intend to progress in my self-tuition of music production, party stupidly hard and put shrewsbury and the surrounding areas on the map for drum & bass - too many quality djs and producers out there at the moment who need exposing. Wooohaaaaa!!! Braindrop is throwing its very first boat party on Saturday 6 June.
The vessel is specially equipped to hold large groups of people (and all the extra bass bins we can squeeze on). Her name is The Dutch Master and she be a mighty fine boat too!
It's going to be a ridiculously fun rinse up. However, if you think you can get away with being remotely serious and/or cool at this party - ye be mistaken. The Braindrop Boat Rave is fancy dress: Pirate's from the 80's. Arrgh...better get thinkin what ye gonna wear.
