DJColzz (Pronounced 'DJ Calls') is a former club, resort and radio DJ.

In 1988, he embarked on his club career as a DJ in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. He played regularly to a rich 500+ crowd a night in Panama Jax, The Warehouse, and Mardi Gras. It was whilst working in Panama Jax that the young DJ gained his nickname. People assumed his name was “DJ” and so it stuck.

DJColzz has also worked in Ibiza, Greece and the US. He most recently ventured to Canada for his first set there.

DJ has worked in various radio stations including HBSA, hospital radio in Irvine, Ayrshire and in the 80s hospital radio in Glasgow.

In 1992 DJ decided to settle down get married and have a "respectable" career, he carried on DJ-ing until 1996, then gave up as he now had a fully fledged career in Social Services. By 2002, he left Social Services completely disillusioned with the so-called “caring” profession.

“I feel so sorry for children in the care system now, I really do”. He once said. “They are taken out of one situation and placed straight into another form of abuse from the people they are supposedly being protected by. The staffing levels within Social Services presents a very disturbing picture, it truly does”.

He left Social Services amidst creating a huge investigation of sexualised gossip being circulated by his colleagues against managers that included teenagers resident in their care. They separated the staff group and closed the unit a short time later as a result. DJ had already left their employment by the time the unit closed.

“I just couldn’t work in that situation any longer and the Local Authority response to these things is disgusting”.

DJ suffered a fairly damaging injury in 2004, a victim of assault. Since then he has spent time at home bringing up with his kids. Come 2006 he is now back in the music business, performing, DJ-ing, writing, mixing and presenting his shows on his own myspace page.

DJ has infinite music knowledge and is now here to stay. He has the unique style of presenting three radio shows all at once, “Rock Out” is noted as one of the best Rock shows the world over, “Sunset Salon” is dedicated to the club world of dance, techno, RnB, D&B, and ragga.

DJColzz is back; he’s here to stay and gaining notable interest the world over!
