Started my musical journey in the 80s, listening to everything from punk bands like conflict, discharge, crass, to reggae and ska music up till the explosion of dance music. Too many influences in this department to mention
them all. Love the variety of genres that are there & couldnt possibly be forced to choose just one to focus on. For me, its all about tunes.
After over 14 years djing, dj Complex is well known in Cork & Ireland for his hard-hitting sets, wether its techno or trance he's playing. Holding residencies at cork nights Inferno & Kommunity, as well as regular appearences at All Star Sessions, Hedliners Peakvision, Fever & more....Complex started playing on pirate radio on radio k2 in january 1997 and guested on radio friendly, Red FM, kISS FM CORK, r.t.e. pulse as well as being a founder & regular on TechFM. He has played in various clubs across Ireland including the Vaults, The Zoo, CLUB 10, Sir henrys and too many clubs & bars to mention all over Ireland and abroad, Complex has shared the stage with the likes of B.K, Matt Hardwick, Jordan Suckley, Garbo, Kamui, Ernesto vs Bastian, Fred Baker, Joey V, Sean Tyas, Pacal Feliz, Vinylgroover, Montana, Ali Wilson, Mac & Taylor, Christian Smith, Mark Williams, Eric Sneo, Alex Calver, Ignition Technician, Tony Thomas(soma records), Funk d void,(soma) Henrik B (drumcode) Jan Liefhebber, Liberator djs, Clare Large, Carla Rocca, Mike Humphries, D.A.V.E. We've made a minor change to how gigs are added to the site, the lineup section is now a single text area instead of individual text boxes for each act, a small change but it makes adding gigs a lot quicker cause you can copy and paste the lineup from elsewhere :)

Firstly thanks to everyone who came down last month, twas a great wee gig and the place was jumping to old skool jungle til the wee early hours.
We’ve got our second credit crunching, barrack busting dance off on Saturday the 6th June. Tuneage on the night will come from Homespun and Rudimentary resident Chuck bringing some of his latin & broken beat flava to the Apache rig, and we’re glad to have Belfast turntablist & producer John King back again this month to bring some serious deck skills to the table. Finishing of the night will be Apache residents Jayuu and Jim Morton dropping some soulful dnb rollers til late in the night.
The paltry fee of a 5er will get you entrance and as per usual it’s a bring your own event. Things will be kicking of around 9.30pm at Blick Studios, 51 Malone Road (across the road from the Church)

We’ve got the first in a series off gigs kicking off on Sat 18th April. Blick Studios are kindly supplying the venue for a night of dub, funk, hiphop, broken beat, dnb & jungly kinda sounds
Guests on the night will be;
Belfast turntabilist and producer John King will be supplying funk and hiphop breaks Wigwig will be finishing off blasting out some serious jungle breakage
Plus we’ll have residents Jayuu and Jim Morton supplying everything from dub to broken beat and dnb, sound supplied via the Apache Soundsystem Rig.
Trust us floors will be shaking!!
