Eric Roybal (born on March 8, 1981 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, U.S.), better known by his stage name DJ CONNECT,
DJ CONNECT began DJ-ing when he was in Jr. High. By the time he entered High School, he was writing beats. With this as his foundation, in 2001 Eric created Impak Records.
At a very young age DJ CONNECT knew he wanted to own his own independent record label. He wanted to be able to produce the beats that were in his head and the sounds that fill his soul. DJ CONNECT also wanted to be able to help and support other talented producers, rappers and musicians.
DJ CONNECT started Impak Records in his bedroom. He moved his bed out and moved his computer and all of his other recording equipment in. The closet was his sound booth. In those early years DJ CONNECT worked on writing beats and on developing his skills as a producer.
