Cowboy Mike was born in Detroit, the “birthplace” of techno. He was always passionate about music, growing up on bands such as U2, Depeche Mode, The Cure, and NIN. There was a defining moment while listening to Paul Oakenfold’s mix “Tranceport,” and hearing Paul van Dyk’s track “Words” that sparked his love and new found passion for Trance and Progressive music. The Detroit rave scene was next followed by a move to San Diego, CA. This created the opportunity to visit a new club scene, only fueling his desire to be one of the creators of vibe that he loved so much. With his persistence, and the help of his friends Victor Dinaire and Tim Ortiz, he has proven himself to be one of the best in southern California.
Cowboy Mike has made quite a name for himself. In doing so, he has played along side of some of the top DJ / Producers in the world including: Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Christopher Lawrence, Sander van Doorn, BT, Filo & Peri, ATB, Eddie Halliwell, Cosmic Gate, Marco V, John 00 Fleming, Mark Norman, Victor Dinaire, Donald Glaude, 4 Strings, Matt Darey, Steve Porter, Dave Audé, Robbie Rivera, Chris Fortier, and George Acosta.

2 Live Crew, the founding fathers of "booty rap" and pioneers of explicit hip-hop, are one of the most controversial groups of all time. With several platinum and gold albums to their name, Brother Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice are currently working on a new album. The album, "Just Wanna Be Heard," is set for release on the group's own record company, Nu Focuz Entertainment.
