Da Lukas Biography

He's been working on club and radio conducting and producing several programs, finally as Art Director and Senior Manager in labels coordination.

Hailing from Palermo, over the last decade he has been producing and remixing for house music legends such as Jakatta, Who Da Funk, Corrina Joseph, Jose Nunez, Johnny Dangerous, Lützenkirchen, Mike Monday, Maetrik, Paul Jackson, John Acquaviva, Psycho Radio as well as releasing for a wide range of dance labels including the legendary King Street Sounds/Nite Grooves, Hed Kandi/Ministry Of Sound, Definitive, Beef, Gruuv, Pacha, Oxyd, One Little Indian, Ego/Hysterical/Killa Tunes, as Da Lukas

In 2007 Da Lukas created his new DKS project and released his debut single for Hysterical his remake of the seminal ‘People Are Still Having Sex’ championed by Annie Nightingale, Judge Jules and Carl Cox to name but a few, the track killed it on the Beatport Top 100 Downloads...

However it was ‘That’s Jazz’ his update of Dajae and Cajmere defining jazzy house record ‘U Got Me Up’ that made both the most influential DJs and the major industry publications alike sit up and take notice of DKS. Achieving coveted hotspots in the DMC Buzz Chart and the Cool Cuts Chart in Music Week and receiving absolutely huge support from the likes of Sarah Main, DJ Chus, Chris Lake, Riva Starr and Satoshi Tomie it was definitely one of the most surprising and euphoric track to surface in Miami WMC 2009...

Also the reaction to his latest release for Hysterical the brilliant remake of the 2001 Todd Terry classic ‘Babarabatiri’ was phenomenal: as well as topping both the Buzz Chart and the Cool Cuts Chart, support came far and wide including Mark Knight, Axwell, Dubfire, Fedde Le Grand, Mason, Mousse T, Robbie Rivera and Steve Angello...

In 2010 he releases his new single ‘Sing With A Swing’ his jazz house update of the 1936 classic ‘Sing Sing Sing’ supported by Groove Armada, X-Press 2 and Wally Lopez to Freemasons, TV Rock and Andi Durrant, the track has been released across the key Worldwide territories where it’s signed to major dance labels such as Hed Kandi UK, Scorpio Music France, Pacha Recordings Ibiza, WePlay GAS, Bip Records BeNeLux, Warner Music Scandinavia, High Quality Talents Poland, Neon Records Australia, Building Records Brazil, Planetworks Greece, World Club Music Russia, David Gresham Records South Africa and Teta Music Israel. Number 1 Itunes Belgium chart it’s set to blow and sky rocket DKS into the production premier league!

Is a name constantly selected on many charts, Dj selections, and to anyone with an interest in modern House music. His production touch, and Funk sounds, as fresh House music has helped him notch up a fan-base that ranges from Pete Tong, Nic Fanciulli, Mark Knight, Danny Tenaglia, Dubfire, Groove Armada, Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Luciano, Riva Starr, M.A.N.D.Y., Booka Shade e DJ T. Latest single called "I Must Be Doing Something Right" realized with US Subliminal Records resident Jose Nunez and while Underwater Records' very own Paul Jackson released on Hysterical, signed now to Hed Kandi supported by Music Week Cool Cuts Chart Top 20, DJ Chus, D.O.N.S., Audiojack, Erick E, Pirupa, DJ Pippi, and much more....

His last project Tone-Float is a duo with P.Bigazzi, taken from a great radio program called "Iter", during Da Lukas's radio days. "Iter" is a live electronic session, so Tone-Float cross the same roads, producing first 4 tracks Ep (Tone-Float Ep), supported by legendary dj Herman Cattaneo, and Laurent Garnier, and remixing pop duo "Releation" new single "Your tiny minds" both released on on "UrbanTourque Recordings", and more recently for Dale Anderson "Bugs", and Neil Quigley "Without you". released on "Whosehaus and Small Dog". ..
