DJ Danny or Yordan Delev was born in 1978 in Plovdiv. At early age he was attracted by music at 9 he attended solfeggio and accordion lessons.
In 1996 elder brother DJ Pacho B stirred his enthusiasm for electronic music. Pacho B had just returned from Moscow where he worked for a year as a DJ and played only electro sound.
In the beginning DJ Danny was fascinated by tribal house, and his idols are DJ Danny Tenaglia and DJ Junior Vasques. But as soon as he started collecting compilations of Global Underground, mixed by Nick Waren, Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed and Sasha, he was taken up with progressive house. Till present day this is the style that impresses him most.
The first participations of DJ Danny were 1998 in Plovdiv Roxy House Club Roxy. A year later started his vocational career – he warmed up and attended at almost every party of ELLECTRICA in the famous at the time Plovdiv Drama Theatre.
DJ Danny had the exceptional opportunity to play together with universally known DJs - Ruby, Eddie Richards, Asad Rizvi, Pat Cue, Yanna Himnia and many others.
Soon after that appeared his participatons as a resident. In 2001 he played in Select Club, followed closely by invitations for sets in the biggest part of most elite music clubs –Comics (Varna), Momo (Varna), Plazma (Plovdiv), Bizzaire (Pazardjik), Biju (Pleven), Eskada (Plovdiv), Makalali (Plovdiv), Excess (Bourgas), Planet, Phobia (St. Zagora), City (Smolian), Sinners (Sofia) and etc. Till now he has regular performances.
During the years of his improvement DJ Danny moved on several styles of house music – from his favourite progressive house, deep and groove to tribal, and at the moment he prefers progressive and minimal house.
His sets are famous for their perfect gradation and ‘transfusing’ of symphonious lines. DJ Danny always experiments with compiling new music hits and old remixes, he often adds to his sets a cappella choir music.
His sense of knowing how to carry away the audience and to entertain it till the set is over makes him popular and wanted among fans, and evokes his colleagues’ respect for him as a professional
In 2007 he won prestigious competition “Chervilo Wanted Best DJ” in club Chervilo, Sofia.
In 2008 DJ Danny released his first track for the best Bulgarian label “Ellectrica Recordings” together with his colleague Hypnodrum. In this year he and DJ Max started series of parties called “Electronic Therapy”, project which achieved a lot of popularity in the clubs all over Bulgaria and Macedonia.
Out of DJ career Danny is completely devoted to the music. In 2000 he and his brother DJ Pacho B started Music Shop Ellectrica in Plovdiv which is representative store of Pioneer PRO and NI for the region. This is the one and only profiled shop for electronic music in Bulgaria.
Nowadays Danny is booking agent in the biggest DJ agency “E-Booking”.
