At the start of 2009 Dave was featured as ‘One To Watch’ in iDJ Magazine being described as someone you will be hearing a lot more of very soon, and we agree. No stranger to the magazine he has also won iDJ’s prestigious Raw Talent competition and also featured in the top 3 of DJ Magazine’s Pick N Mix feature. He is a name that most within the industry will already know due to him having played at some of the countries best nights and clubs already, supporting and playing alongside some of the biggest dj's and acts in the world.
After making his name in what some would say in today’s climate the old school way of firstly being dj, Dave has honed his sound by years of rocking dance floors learning how music affects people and what sounds get into peoples heads plus having an understanding of how dance music works through being in the booth looking from the inside out and it’s this that makes him a rarity among many of the new breed of dj’s emerging these days.
After a string of successful releases on UK and European labels picking up praise and support from the likes of Afrilounge, Perc, Max Cooper, Solee, Tomcraft, Gabriel Ananda, Konrad Black, Chris Carrier plus lots more, his talent and hardwork in the studio paid of when he was announced as the winner of the ‘We Love Space’ remix competition. His remix of Yousef ‘Africa’ was picked by the man himself as the winner. The remix will be featured on the end of summer compilation cd and will be released by Yousef with the original on a major label in the near future.
His club night Freq! within a year has hosted a whole host of big names and upcoming talent from the house/techno scene. It’s picked up top night placings in the midlands in all major industry magazines and is truly creating a new scene in his home city of Derby bringing it in line with what other credible parties have to offer.
The last few years have seen Dave continually rise and rise going from local dj to being known on an international scale as a dj, a producer and now a promoter he constantly attracts major attention everywhere he goes and his success is a credit to his continued hard work, dedication, ambition and most importantly a love for music. We think 2010 is going to be a break through year for Dave so watch this space.

BMM 34 Mario Plaza Vocal Sense EP with the remixes of Luis Noic Genre: Techno.
Some comments: Ronald van Norden (Eminor, Tracer, Tight Lipped): Definitely the best EP I've heard of BMM! Good work! Carsten Rausch: I really like Mario Plaza - Vocal Sense. All Mixes are nice, but the Original Mix is my fav. Full support for that one! Dave James: Vocal sense is cool, hypnotic mix is my fave. Galuszka: The original starts chunky and gets funky, a nice groove. The remixes by Luis Noic take it minimal. The Hipnotic remix revisits some classic techno sounds, love it. The Reddman: The Vocal Sense Track was very smooth. It was one of those tracks that make you want to just stand in front of the speaker, close your eyes and let the music take you on a trip to somewhere deep within your own mind. M.O.D.E.: Luis Noic on vocal sense is great. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favourite mix is Luis Noic Hypnotic remix. Deep sounds with brilliant production. This spare tune has enough hooks to take you on a journey. Gets my support. Clic here to Listen & Buy in Beatport.

BMM 33 Tantrum Light LSD Island EP with the remixes of Paul Hunter, Da Trash & Zimaleto Genre: Minimal, Techno, Tech-House.
Some comments: Carsten Rausch: The Da Trash Remix is a cool piece of percussive Techno. I will definetely play that. Dave James: Yeh I like the original trippy vocals. Galuszka: Tantrum Light offers a track that is straight up techno. The mood of the original mix is very Terminator 2 (Judgment Day) in its vocal work and sound choice. The remixes of this project ad funk, especially the Da Trash remix with it's rolling quality. Bodgan Taran: I just love the melody on Zimaleto remix of LSD Island. The Reddman: I listened all the remixes and was very impressed! I have to say I just loved the Paul Hunter remix of the LSD Island track. There was something about it that just kept the groove going for me. Moog Conspiracy (Elektrotribe / Buena Onda): I ll play Tantrum light - Da Trash remix. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favoutite mix is Paul Hunter remix. Wicked groove of a bass line that instantly got me to my feet. Great production and construction. Graeme Park: I really like the Zimaleto Remix of Tantrum Light's LSD Island. Such a great groove. <a href="//
