Inspired by the legendary Essential mixes he would listen to every Friday night in his early teens Dave caught the House music bug early on, fueling him for the drive that would lead him down the path of acquiring a monthly club residency at just 16 years old, giving him the experience that he values today.
Being a forward thinker Dave sees beyond the average DJ, with his feet firmly on the ground he works hard at what he does, keeping his talent raw enabling him to secure gigs at various clubs, festivals and events alike across the UK, Ireland and beyond.
Not only strictly playing to a dance floor, Dave does a guest mix for a different dance music radio show every month for the people listening in their homes all over the world.
As well as a busy DJ schedule, Dave is pushing the house music scene forward but introducing the next generation into the DJ/dance music domain by running DJ workshops. The workshops teach and show participants the basics in DJ’ing, the equipment used and also gives them an insight into the dance music industry.
In conjunction with the DJ workshops Dave is regularly invited to demonstrate and teach DJ skills and technology at music industry shows, music festivals and renowned DJ schools.
Good quality House music, whatever it’s sub genre, is what Dave plays and pushing the boundaries and taking things one step further is what Dave does, with his eye continuously fixed and focused on all the latest up and coming DJ technology, he firmly believes that DJ’ing isn’t just about mixing two tracks together but making an art of technology and creating a whole other level of musical proportion. From cutting up tracks with an EFX-1000 to abusing the CDJ-1000, making the gear do things beyond what they were designed to do to create live remixes that are as innovative as his technical ability.
2008 has already been and is going to continue to be a busy year for Dave. This is one DJ that just doesn’t sit around and wait for things to happen - he makes them happen. It would be an understatement to say that this DJ is about to go far.
