More than a career, being a Dj has been a path full of blessings for Diesel… He started as a radio dj in 100.1 fm ABC radio in El Salvador back in 1998, without hesitating the best school he could get, because he got the essence of the 80..s school and at the same time with visionary leaders that were seeking for a way to bring the electronic music to a competitive market as the Salvadorian media. At the beginning, beatmatching was a funny game to avoid falling asleep during radio shows starting at 9 pm and finishing by 6 am, playing with songs from artists like: Fatboy Slim, Faithless or Sash, which were in the roaster of the radio station.
During 1999, the radio station wanted to give more importance to electronic music. Therefore, they re-birthed “Mixing Night”, a radio show broadcasted to El Salvador every Friday form 9 pm till 11 pm, with live dj sessions with the dance music hits, interviews and guests. By that time, ABC..s director wanted to give an opportunity to radio station..s rookies. Thus, Armand Dj & Dj Diesel were designated as the “faces” of “Mixing Night”. Nonetheless, due to professional issues Armand Dj left the show in 2002 and Diesel became the one in charge of it. You can listen to the Mixing Night every Friday in www.abcradio.com.sv at 9 pm (GMT -6) with the best of electronic music, but specially deep and progressive house.
Nevertheless, life has not given Diesel the opportunity to spin just to his radio audience, but to be part of parties with artists like: Robbie Rivera, Benny Benassi, The Thrillseekers, Filterheadz, Dj Sammy, Ralph Falcon, Darude, Dj Taucher, etc. Earning the trust of agencies like Ministry of Sound (El Salvador) or Istmo Music.
His main characteristic for every performance, is the passion with which he enjoys every second within the booth…
