Drama is an established DJ and Producer in the dubstep scene. Formerly part of the Cast Iron Projects, “Drams” can boast playing in venues such as Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Herbal, 93 Feet East, Scala, Theme, Club 8, TrmNL and the Coronet to name a few. As well as this Drama has showcased his talent on the Airwaves on radio stations such as Sub Fm, Rinse, and Wax FM and more recently on FM4 @ Springnine Festival
With plato of Mixtapes under his belt and A monthly mix series Entitled " 1 Take Bang" Started in Jan 09 its clear Drama likes to keep his time full with Music
Drama’s DJ career started at 13, when drum and bass was the sound of choice and pirate radio, the medium. Typical of the era, he soon developed a penchant for UKG and DJ’ed on radio and under 18 raves every week. As UKG turned to grime, so did Drama with the forming of Cast Iron Projects back in 2004. However, dubstep was always on the agenda for the now 23 year old, with his sets for the Projects forever being peppered with tunes by the likes of Benga, Kode 9 and Skream. He soon became fully engrossed in the sound and turned his hand to producing, churning out tunes such as ‘Scurf’, ‘Pedigree Chums’ and ‘Italian Fireplace’.
In early 2006 Drama decided to go it alone, breaking from the MC based Grime scene, set on establishing himself as a fully certified champion of dubstep. He has grown into a well respected DJ known for Technical Mixes and Fast style, with many admirers from the scene, both here and in Europe. In 2007 Drama joined the Urban Nerds team. With a Sponsorship from Ortofon and Ecler he is respected as the 'Nerds' dedicated dubstep DJ.
With bookings rolling in and labels taking an intrest in his production work, right now it seems as though everyone’s after a bit of Drama.
